I used to have trouble separating my reality from my imagination.
I would regularly get wrapped up in tangled webs of thought. Emotionally reacting is if what I was thinking was happening right now.
My mind would transition seamlessly from reality to overly emotional imagining without me even noticing.
I call these challenging imaginations Non-Existent Temporal States, or N.E.T.S.
It’s easy to get trapped in N.E.T.S.
Anything that isn’t happening right now that I’m still emoting into is a N.E.T.S.
A Non-Existent Temporal State.
It’s not really happening. It’s an event that only exists in my mind.
If you can label a thought as a Non-Existent Temporal State, it helps allow you separate your reality from your imagination.
Separate your emotions from unreal mental occurrences.
When you’re wasting your emotions on things that aren’t actually happening, you’re wasting valuable Life energy.
You got to be able to focus your emotional energy in a useful direction. When you spend less time in imaginary Non-Existent Temporal States, you spend more time in your actual Life.
You become more able to see what’s needed to make your life better right now.
You become your own enemy when you can’t tell the difference between fantasy and reality.
By being able to consciously labeled my N.E.T.S., I’m learning how to react more appropriately to my existence.
I’m learning how to save my emotions for things that actually matter. That are actually happening.
When you do that, you become more productively appropriate.
Cast off your N.E.T.S.
Finally be free of non-existent occurrences.
